Intro: This page will explore the innovation landscape of organizations. I have been thinking about this over the past 10 years. It seems that we got lots of innovation in the area of personal usage of the internet (Amazon, Google, Hotmail, CNN and the like). But... what have the internet done for businesses and other organizsations? Not much, we see more applications, more ERP, more e-mail -- nothing that boost the way organizations work. Some cool examples: 1. linkedin for generating business. 2. google alert to get news on competitors * add your ideas. Dov Alfon timidly notes: 3. Instant messaging to communicate within the workplace 4. PC monitoring to spy on employees 5. Internal Webcam to monitor the company's assets 6. Rumor spreading on boards and chat rooms to tarnish competitors 7. Corporate weblogging to motivate workers and upgrade the brand. 8 . add your ideas
other needs? 1. Life long links with alums? 2. Connecting with partners? 3. Connecting with customers 4. add your ideas Why is this important: Other ideas?

I would add to these: "organizational long learning" (sort of life long learning) and knowledge building, sharing spreading and management
I would add to these needs also:
A. "organizational long learning" (sort of life long learning relevant to the organization, for employees, customers etc. )
B Production and manipulation of knowledge: building, discovering, sharing, spreading, and management .
each need and the tools it calls for.
