Friday evening e-Xtravaganza - 2005

Almost like the Halutzim, those brave pioneers who have dried the swamps in weekdays and rejoiced every Friday night at the barns, we shall have our own private party on Friday evening after two long days of discussion.

Kinnernet 2005 and BerlKatzenelson.com proudly present
eXtravaganza!
"Friday night, gonna be alright" (Berl, ~1920)

As always on KinnerNet,
the program is you!

You are welcome to suggest and take part: sing, play, dance, make us laugh!

eXtravaganza coordinator is here to help: Gil Rimon

Berl Katzenelson

After filling our small brains with gadgets and budgets and sealing our big bellies with ice-cream and fudges we shall take time off for some MLS: Music, Laughs and other Stuff

Prof. Shocken Stevie Nova & Ayelet Brit Ami

Musicplaylist so the highy-acclaimed Kinnernet ad-hoc band can jam with / for you.

We're playing your song: if you wish to play (or hear) a certain song, now is the time to put it on the camp

  • Hightech Blues & Dikaon (Dikaovision): Follow this link and write your own poem today! Winning poems will be set to music by camp musicians and performed live on Friday Night!
  • Schocken Cabaret: the composer of Kinnernet 2004 Anthem is back – and he's got his guitar!
  • The Magical Nokia Flute: How to turn your Nokia 6230 phone into a tiny didgeridoo (Gil Rimon)
  • FreeStyle, Drum Circle, Jamming: As you may recall, you were asked to bring musical instruments to camp – And here's the best spot where they fit!
  • Main dish: The Nova people (Eyal Herzog, Jonathan Frish and Yuval Niv) will sing for us and with us.
Which Israeli hits would you like to hear and sing along with? Quick, put them on the evening's playlist! Anything – from HaGivatron to HaYehudim – goes and Yam Hashibolim is already there (just kidding :)
  • Active musical participants (playing, jamming, etc) – the more the merrier: [add your name here] Ariel Shoham, Ayelet Yagil, Eyal Shachar, Eyal Herzog, Jonathan Frish, Yuval Niv

'How do you know if you are a geek? If you find yourself trying to shoo a fly away from the monitor with your cursor" - Juuso Heimonen.

Laughs

  • Yossi Vardi: Q20 Yossi and a computer in a head-to-head quiz battle, with the help of the crowd.
  • Ami Ben Basat: The truth behind Murphy's laws. During the 15 minutes presentation, a live experiment will be taken place, showing the chances, each one of us has, in screwing a simple task.
  • Gil Rimon: Spam is good! Why reading spam is essential for your well being
  • Assaf Topaz: A 30 second clip of Steven Tyler sings a "duet" with Craig Barrett (who'd probably prefer to forget this altogether), a "white version" clip I took during 12/2004 CES

Other Stuff

Any other ideas? Comments? Write them down!

Administration & Logistics
More musical instruments and AV equipment would let us have more fun!
Please bring yours to camp and put your name on the whiteboard so we can plan ahead. Thank you!
